State Street Investment Management & Stablecoin Standard Working To Deepen Links Between Traditional and Tokenized Finance

Stablecoin Standard’s Annual Flagship Event will be hosted at State Street’s London Offices on October 16th

LONDON – August 5, 2025 – State Street Investment Management (State Street IM), the asset management arm of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) and one of the world's leading investment managers, and Stablecoin Standard (“SCS”), the global industry body for stablecoins, today announced their joint plans to embark on a series of knowledge sharing initiatives, starting with the hosting of Stablecoin Standard’s annual flagship event in October at State Street’s London offices.

Christian Walker, Co-Founder and Chairman of Stablecoin Standard, commented: “We are thrilled to work with State Street IM as one of industry leaders and innovators. As State Street IM embarks on their own journey into digital finance, we’re excited to offer our expertise to one of the largest traditional financial institutions with a global presence. This is a key milestone for us, as our goal has always been to bring in both leading crypto native and tradfi partners to establish robust standards around this nascent asset class.”

Stablecoin Standard’s work with State Street IM comes at a time when more traditional financial institutions are looking into the benefits of tokenization of traditional financial products like money market funds, private credit and bonds. With recent research by Ripple and Boston Consulting Group projecting the market for tokenized real-world assets to grow from $0.6 trillion today to $18.9 trillion by 2033, new operating standards with respect to these assets need to be set.

Elliot Hentov, Head of Macro Policy Research at State Street IM, was appointed to the Stablecoin Standard’s Advisory Board in 2023 and will continue to serve on the Board following today’s announcement. As their first joint initiative, State Street IM will host the Stablecoin Standard’s annual flagship members conference at their London Canary Wharf offices, on Thursday, October 16th, following the Digital Asset Summit London event.

Kim Hochfeld, Global Head of Cash and Digital at State Street Global Advisors, commented: “We’re pleased to work with  the Stablecoin Standard, as one of the leading global standard setting bodies in the industry. We look forward to hosting Stablecoin Standards’ Annual Flagship event at our Canary Wharf offices and welcome the opportunity to facilitate engagement and learning from some of the leading operators in the space.”
